Dr. Ada Hunter

I’ve been singing professionally since 2001 and teaching since 2005. I trained as a lyric coloratura at Oklahoma Baptist University, Oklahoma City University, and privately with many wonderful teachers, including the late Julliard teacher, Ellen Faull. Somewhere along the way, I expanded my repertoire to include jazz, musical theatre, and standards—and I cut my teeth on country as a kid.

I incorporate my training in classic vocal technique, body mapping, and other relaxation practices to help my students experience vocal freedom, learn to breathe with ease and intention, learn to move well so that the body supports the voice instead of impeding it, and gain confidence as a performer.
